About Me

Coming out of college in 2012, I didn't know much at all... about anything really. And I sometimes feel like I still don't know much. But I have grown and changed a lot since. (hopefully for the better)

One thing I have discovered is, that I love being a coach. I have been coaching wrestling ever since I got done my own career as a competitor.

Another thing I have discovered is that life is way harder than wrestling. Especially when you spend over a decade of your life developing your craft as an athlete and then you have to shift your focus and learn completely new things.

I really don't know the precise purpose of this blog (yet), but I hope it can help encourage young people like myself (and maybe some other people) who are trying to figure things out in life and be the best they can be.

I know, it sounds a little cliche...

But that's OK, because I know that the way I write and my unique way of communicating will engage people that may not otherwise get the information/ideas I share.

I am also a husband to my wife Rachel, a father to my son James, and an unashamed follower of Jesus.
